The chief executive highlighted that the Rural Land Registration System, part of Ethiopia's digital agriculture strategy, has already lifted many farmers out of poverty by enabling them to secure loans through land ownership.
This new weather forecasting initiative builds upon these successes, providing farmers with the tools needed to adapt to changing climate conditions, he underscored.
The IGAD Experience Exchange Platform will not only benefit Ethiopian farmers but also serve as a model for other countries facing similar agricultural challenges.
