Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia Launch Joint Business Council to Boost Economic Cooperation

Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia held the first meeting of their Joint Business Council today, initiating efforts aimed at significantly strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting was co-chaired by the Ethiopian side's Chamber of Commerce Chairman, Dr. Hassan Abdullahi, and the Saudi side's Joint Council Chairman, Abdullah Alajmi.

During the discussion, it was stated that the historical relationship between the two countries should be strengthened in the economic sector.

It was noted at the forum that the meeting of the joint business councils will usher in a new chapter of economic cooperation and strategic partnership.

It was stated that they should work together in the trade and investment sectors to strengthen the economic cooperation between the two countries.

Information from the Ethiopian Embassy in Riyadh indicated that an agreement was reached at the forum to work together in the manufacturing industry, agriculture, mining, tourism, and construction sectors.
