The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) has expressed its appreciation for Denmark's appeal at the UN Security Council for a renewed dedication to peace in South Sudan. Denmark urged all involved parties to prioritize the implementation of the Revitalized Peace Agreement, engage in dialogue, and place the South Sudanese people's welfare at the forefront.
IGAD also acknowledged Denmark's recognition of the vital contributions of UNMISS, the African Union, and IGAD in promoting peace and stability in the region, highlighting their joint commitment to non-interference and regional collaboration for a peaceful transition.
