Ethiopian Peace Minister, Moroccan Ambassador Explore Collaboration on Peace, Diversity

State Minister of Peace Building and National Reconciliation at the Ministry of Peace, Dr. Keyredin Tezera, has held discussions with Nezha Alaoui M'hammdi, the Ambassador of Morocco to Ethiopia.

The two sides held discussions aimed at enabling effective work for peacebuilding efforts by coordinating their shared experiences and knowledge in a manner that safeguards the interests of their respective countries.

Dr. Keyredin explained to the Ambassador that the Ministry of Peace is carrying out numerous activities to ensure lasting peace in Ethiopia and to cultivate the practice of resolving differences through dialogue.

The State Minister, mentioning that Ethiopia and Morocco are countries with ancient history and diversity, stated that they should work together in properly managing diversity, building sustainable peace, and ensuring inclusive prosperity.

On her part, the Moroccan Ambassador to Ethiopia, Nezha Alaoui M'hammdi, said that Morocco wants to draw experience from Ethiopia's long history, particularly from the well-developed culture of respect among religions in the country.

She added that the two ancient countries should work closely to properly manage diversity, bring about stable peace, and build a strong economy.

The information from the Ministry also indicates the Ambassador's commitment to strengthening people-to-people relations between the two countries.
