Ethiopia Seeks Dialogue, Not War, with Eritrea Over Port Access, Says PM Abiy

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has firmly stated that Ethiopia will not resort to war with Eritrea in its pursuit of access to a seaport. Speaking earlier today, the Prime Minister emphasized Ethiopia's commitment to resolving the matter through peaceful means, asserting that the nation is actively seeking dialogue with its neighbor.

"What we are asking for is to have a dialogue," Prime Minister Abiy clarified, addressing the long-standing issue of Ethiopia's landlocked status. He made it unequivocally clear that military conflict with Eritrea is not an option under consideration by his government.

Adding a perspective of possibility to the endeavor, Prime Minister Abiy remarked, "Access to the Red Sea is nevertheless an existential matter for Ethiopia. and it won't be too far-fetched in a time where people are traveling to space."
