Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed announced that the government is actively working on establishing a comprehensive one-stop service solution named "Mesob." He explained that the name is inspired by the Ethiopian tradition of eating together from one 'Mesob,' symbolizing unity and shared access. This initiative is expected to significantly address existing public grievances regarding service delivery.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the nation's recent financial performance, noting that 580 billion Birr has been generated in revenue over the past eight months. He acknowledged that while this revenue generation is encouraging, the government also faces considerable expenditures, including salary payments and various subsidies. Although current income does not yet fully offset all costs, these initial results are promising and indicate a positive trajectory.
