Ethiopia's Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) has announced a bold initiative to achieve an 8.4 per cent economic growth rate in the current fiscal year, emphasizing the government's commitment to revitalizing the nation's economy.

During a live session with the House of Peoples' Representatives, he outlined the strategic framework underpinning this ambitious goal, which includes a comprehensive 10-year master plan designed to foster sustainable economic development and ensure that all citizens benefit from the nation’s growth.

The Prime Minister elaborated on the implementation of both a five-year and a one-year action plan derived from this overarching strategy, highlighting the importance of immediate and long-term measures to stimulate economic activity. He expressed confidence that if the positive momentum generated over the past eight months is maintained, Ethiopia can successfully meet its growth target.

This initiative comes at a critical time as the country seeks to strengthen its economic resilience amid global challenges.

The Prime Minister's call for unity and concerted effort resonates with citizens eager for progress, positioning Ethiopia on a path toward greater prosperity and stability.
