In a move to foster international understanding and collaboration, Ethiopia's ruling Prosperity Party is currently engaged in high-level discussions with the diplomatic community based in Addis Ababa. Ambassadors and representatives from various international institutions have gathered at the party headquarters to gain firsthand insight into the key decisions and future directions outlined during the Prosperity Party's 2nd regular conference.
Bikila Hurissa (PhD), Head of the Public and International Relations Department of the Prosperity Party, emphasized that the conference's decisions were designed to benefit Ethiopian citizens.
The primary goal of the dialogue is to provide diplomats with organized information on these plans, fostering consensus on crucial agendas that will enable collaborative efforts between the party and international partners.
Nebiyou Sehul, Director of International Relations at the Prosperity Party Headquarters, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the party's accomplishments and future aspirations. He highlighted successes achieved under his leadership, including the pursuit of sustainable peace, sectoral reforms, advancements in food self-sufficiency, and the implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects.
Looking ahead, the party aims to build a stronger, more unified coalition and sustain peace-building initiatives while targeting an average economic growth rate of 8.4 percent in the coming years. The discussions underscore the Prosperity Party's commitment to transparency and partnership in shaping Ethiopia's future.
