The Ethio-Djibouti Railway Share Company announced that it will begin public passenger transport services starting the coming February. The CEO, Engineer Takale Uma, stated that the service will initially be launched through online booking.
A national identification card (Fayda) will be required to ensure quality and efficient travel service and to verify passenger information accurately. The CEO posted on their social media page that a national ID will be mandatory for all domestic passengers for online booking and travel to facilitate a secure journey.
