The Ethiopian Defense University is striving to become a leading institution not only in Ethiopia but across Africa, upholding the honor of the defense forces through excellence. This was stated by Brigadier General Kebede Regasa, the University's Commandant.
Ethio Telecom executives recently visited the university, reviewing its educational programs, research outcomes, ICT infrastructure, and other initiatives. Brigadier General Kebede explained that the university is working to modernize and technologically equip Ethiopia's defense forces, who tirelessly protect the nation.
He highlighted the university's commitment to enhancing education and research, facilitating modern technological advancements, and ultimately, establishing itself as a significant influence across Africa. He called on institutions, including Ethio Telecom, to support the university's transformative efforts and the development of skilled professionals.
Ethio Telecom's Chief Technology Officer, Tariku Demsie, affirmed the company's commitment to supporting the university's transformation and enhancing the defense force's technological capabilities. Ethio Telecom intends to collaborate with the university on various projects, including knowledge and experience sharing, ENA reported.
