Ethiopia is positioning itself as a prime investment destination, particularly targeting Qatar with an average annual GDP growth of 10% and a population exceeding 126 million.
At the recent 3rd Ethiopian Investment Forum in Doha, Ethiopian Ambassador Faisal Ali Ibrahim showcased the country's economic dynamism and strategic location, emphasizing its potential as a gateway to the African market.
He highlighted various incentives for investors, including tax breaks and improved infrastructure, and underscored the strong bilateral relationship between Ethiopia and Qatar, including a significant Ethiopian diaspora in Qatar and numerous signed agreements.
Despite existing cooperation, Ambassador Faisal called for increased Qatari investment in key sectors, aiming to bridge the gap between potential and realized investment, reported Gulf Times.
