President Taye Atsek Selassie paid Visit to Macedonia Elderly, Mentally Ill Support Center

Ethiopian President Taye Atsek Selassie has stressed the vital role of community support for those vulnerable during a recent visit to Addis Ababa's Macedonia Elderly and Mentally ill Support Center.

During his visit on Friday, the President lauded the center for its commendable efforts in providing care and assistance to those in need, stating, “The work being carried out here is truly remarkable, and it is imperative that everyone contributes in whatever way they can.”

He expressed his admiration for the dedication shown by the staff and volunteers, pointing out that their initiatives not only improve the quality of life for the elderly and mentally ill individuals but also serve as an inspiring model for charitable endeavors across the country.

Currently, the Macedonia Elderly and Mentally Ill Support Center is a beacon of hope, offering services to over 8,000 elderly and mentally ill individuals in 44 cities.

With an ambitious vision for the future, the center aims to expand its reach and support an additional 12,000 people, bringing the total to 20,000. President Taye's call to action encourages citizens to join hands in bolstering the center's vital work, ensuring that these essential services remain accessible to those who depend on them.
