The completion program of the volunteer cadets, which has been ongoing for the past 12 days, has been held in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gedion Timothewos. The program stated that the trainees received practical training in addition to theoretical knowledge.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gedion provided direction and work instructions to the trainees.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed also stated that many young people have been serving as volunteers since he came to power.
Pointing out that diplomatic work requires awareness, preparedness and ingenuity, he announced that Ethiopia has successfully carried out its work by following a principled diplomatic approach.
In this regard, he stated that the political, economic and social benefits of the African Union Summit are high.
The cadets were reminded to realize the importance of the summit and fulfill their responsibilities with full national spirit.
State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Birtukan Ayano, for her part, said that preparations are being made to hold the African Union Summit in a high-profile manner.
She pointed out that the training provided is aimed at successfully holding the summit; she also stated that the cadets were provided with theoretical and practical training on more than 10 topics.
