Mesob One-Stop Center Brings 12 Institutions Together for Streamlined Public Services

A new initiative dubbed the Mesob One-Stop Service Center has officially opened its doors, bringing together a dozen government institutions under a single roof to offer a wide range of public services through digital technology.

The Prime Minister's Office announced the launch, highlighting that these 12 entities are collectively providing 41 different services at the center.

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Dr.) himself inaugurated the Mesob One-Stop Service Center today.

According to the Prime Minister's Office, the system is designed with citizens in mind, offering comprehensive digital options to make accessing services from various federal institutions significantly easier.

Officials anticipate the center will dramatically cut down on the time citizens spend moving between different offices, waiting in long queues, and handling paperwork.

This newly operational pilot project involves twelve federal government bodies, offering 41 public services as part of this initial phase, the office noted.

Key institutions participating include the Ministry of Revenues, the Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration, the Ministry of Labor and Skills, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ethiopian Investment Commission, the National ID Service, and the Immigration and Citizenship Service.

Other vital services available at the center are from the Documents Authentication and Registration Service, the Education Assessment and Examinations Service, Ethio-Post, Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, and Ethio-Telecom.

The Prime Minister's Office emphasized that technology is the backbone of this integration, allowing all participating institutions to provide their services in a connected and efficient manner.
