The first phase of the agenda collection consultation underway in the Amhara region has been successfully completed.
Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission Commissioners Yonas Adaye (Dr.) and Melaku Woldemariam gave a statement regarding the completion of the agenda collection phase, which was carried out in the region over the past few days during the first phase by representatives from 10 community sections.
The statement mentioned that over the past 5 days, more than 4,500 representatives drawn from 263 woredas (districts) and representing 10 community sections actively participated in the agenda collection phase.
The agenda collection process, which took place over several days, was described as participatory, inclusive, and transparent.
Consequently, the statement indicated the successful completion of this first phase.
It was stated that 270 representatives have been selected to participate at the national level and in the stakeholder consultation forum set to begin tomorrow.
It was also indicated that starting tomorrow, stakeholders participating in the second phase of the consultation will undertake agenda collection activities.
