Prosperity Party has brought about significant changes while overcoming many challenges, said Kassahun Gofe (PhD), member of the Central Committee of the Prosperity Party (PP) and Minister of Trade and Regional Integration.
The Minister remarked the statement as he appeared on EBC amharic and explained about the 2nd Assembly of PP.
“Prosperity is a party with clarity of thoughts and has been able to overcome challenges and bring about changes by implementing its ideas,” he said.
He recalled that the party had pledged to export wheat in its first regular assembly, and by living its promise now it has started exporting wheat instead of importing it.
The Minister said that the productivity that has been seen in recent times has become very high, he said, mentioning foreign trade has been growing significantly.
He said that the Prosperity Party is actively working to create independent and competent institutions, and illustrated this saying that the Election Board, media institutions, judicial institutions and security institutions are showing changes in this regard.
He said that the National Dialogue Commission is working diligently to resolve the country's political and other long-standing conflicts in order to foster a new mindset in order to strengthen the culture of democracy.
Minister Kassahun further said that the change in diplomacy is the result of a clear policy, and that our work in a manner that maintains our national interests and gives priority to our neighbors is a manifestation of the effectiveness of our foreign policy.
Despite the tangible changes that have benefited the people, he also raised the challenges like extremism, gaps in service delivery, theft and corruption.
