The launch of this route marks another milestone in the airline’s efforts to strengthen its global network and enhance connectivity between Africa and the Middle East.
The resumed service will operate four times per week, offering passengers convenient access to Sharjah, a strategic commercial and cultural hub in the UAE. The first flight departed from Addis Ababa Bole International Airport to Sharjah International Airport on Sunday, welcomed by a warm reception ceremony at the airport.
Reta Melaku, Ethiopian Airlines Chief Operation Officer, highlighted the significance of the resumed route, stating, “We are pleased to establish our connection with Sharjah, which has been one of our key destinations in the Gulf region.
