Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) passionately stated that the government's unwavering focus is on realizing a transformed Ethiopia, free from dependency, while speaking with residents during Easter celebrations on Sunday.
The Prime Minister shared the holiday with families who had been relocated to the Gelan Gura site as part of the ongoing Kazanchis development project.
Reflecting on the sweeping changes in the city, he explained the motivation behind transforming areas that were once neglected: "We are changing the city that was previously dilapidated for the common good, for the joy of our children, and simply to beautify the future."
He reiterated the government's unwavering focus, emphasizing that their singular objective is to see a transformed Ethiopia, one that stands on its own feet.
Addressing the residents directly at their new homes, he said, "This new settlement is where you will live," and invited them to visit their former neighborhood, adding with satisfaction that Kazanchis had become "extremely beautiful, just as we promised."
According to FBC, offering a message of hope for the next generation, he asserted, "Our children have hope; they can and will live a better life than us." Prime Minister Abiy concluded with a forward-looking declaration: "Ethiopia's resurrection is near. We will see it, and our children will inherit it.
