The Ethiopian Pharmaceutical Supply Service (EPSS) today launched its fourth International Suppliers Conference, focusing on investment opportunities and networking for local and international pharmaceutical suppliers. Themed "Building Stronger Partnerships: Harnessing Local and International Synergies for a Shared Vision," the conference aims to foster collaboration within the pharmaceutical sector.
Speaking on the occasion General Director for Ethiopian Pharmaceutical Supply Service- EPSS Dr. Abdulkadir Geligelo reiterated that Ethiopian pharmaceuticals supply has registered a remarkable progress that reduced importation expenses as a result of the start of local production.
The Director further highlighted that Ethiopia has now started the local assembling of ultrasound machine.
The conference is expected to unpack the pharmaceutical's investment opportunities to both local and international suppliers while facilitating networking opportunities.
The three day conference is also comprised of exhibition showcasing products and services to a diverse audience of healthcare professionals and suppliers. And also the official handover ceremony of the supply distribution 62 vehicles trucks and other medical supplies from Africa CDC and other partners to Ethiopian Ministry of Health.
Top 20 & 10 highest perfuming 2023/24 fiscal year pharmaceutical suppliers have also been awarded during the occasion.
