Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has received and conferred Tuesday with Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
On a social media message the Premier said, "I was pleased to meet with Valentina Matvienko, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, and her delegation this evening."
PM Abiy also reffered the meeting as "a valuable opportunity to discuss and explore Ethio-Russia relations."
The Russian delegation came to Ethiopia for a two-day working visit. The visit aims at cementing the longstanding well established ties between the two countries.
