Ethiopia's battle against climate change has brought together leading experts, policymakers, and stakeholders in a forum dedicated to strengthening the country's resilience. This gathering has focused on sustainable landscape management, a critical strategy for addressing the challenges of climate change and its impact on natural resource management.

Experts have shared their knowledge, policymakers have discussed strategies, and stakeholders have come together to find solutions, all with the shared goal of building a more resilient future for Ethiopia.

Klara Jelinkova, Country Director of People In Need (PIN) in Ethiopia, highlighted the organization's ongoing efforts to combat climate change impacts. She emphasized PIN's commitment to sustainable landscape management, a crucial strategy for Ethiopia's future.

Echoing this commitment, Ambassador Miroslav Kosek of the Czech Republic to Ethiopia outlined his government's support for environmental preservation through Czech Aid and PIN. The ambassador emphasized the Czech government's dedication to supporting Ethiopia's grassroots efforts to tackle climate change, particularly in regions like Sidama, Oromia, Tigray, South Ethiopia, and Central Ethiopia.

Mitiku Ayele, advisor to the Ethiopian Minister of Agriculture, expressed deep gratitude for the Czech government's partnership. He highlighted the significant contributions of Czech Aid and PIN in bolstering Ethiopia's efforts to mitigate the threats of climate change. Mitiku also praised PIN's sustainable landscape management activities, emphasizing their alignment with Ethiopia's ambitious Green Legacy initiative.

Since 2003, PIN, supported by Czech Aid, has been working hand-in-hand with Ethiopian communities, restoring over 12,500 hectares of degraded land through innovative landscape management practices.
