Building Peace, Strengthening Security: African Defense Ministers In Addis Ababa

African Defense Ministers have visited Information Network Security Administration (INSA).  The visit, part of a three-day gathering in Addis Ababa themed "Africa: United in Peace, Strong in Security," highlighted Ethiopia's commitment to regional stability. Ministers exchanged insights and witnessed firsthand Ethiopia's exemplary security sector reforms, showcasing the nation's dedication to fostering a secure and peaceful environment across the continent.

The meticulously crafted agenda for the event also includes visits to the Artificial Intelligence Institute, the Ethiopian Federal Police Commission, and the National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS).

On Wednesday, the attendees, comprising African defense ministers, esteemed military officers, and military attachés stationed in Addis Ababa, embarked on a tour of the Ethiopian Air Force Headquarters and the Defense Engineering Industry Corporation located in Bishoftu, within the Oromia region. This itinerary underscores the importance of understanding and integrating advanced technologies and strategies in defense.

The overarching aim of these visits is to fortify collaboration among African nations within the defense sector, promoting unity and shared security objectives. Accompanying the delegates was Ethiopia's Defense Minister Aisha Mohamed, alongside other high-ranking military officials, who played a pivotal role in facilitating these enlightening exchanges. Such initiatives not only enhance bilateral relations but also pave the way for a more secure and resilient continent.
