Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed urged Ethiopians to share holiday meals with the needy as they mark new year Wednesday.
“Sharing food and other items with others is a symbol of patriotism, a beautiful reminder of friendship and tradition. Let’s come together, share what we have, and spread joy,” he wrote on social media.
He also said about the benefit of creating memories of this coming new year. “let’s spend this holiday creating memories that nourish our hearts and souls, and share them with those in need.”
The Premier shared Monday meals and educational materials to the needy.
