Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed commended parties involved in corridor development project in Addis Ababa.
The premier himself received Saturday a huge acclamation from the gathering at a recognition ceremony.
“I want to extend my appreciation to everyone involved in developing our corridors. Today’s recognition reflects the hard work and dedication you have shown in creating a better urban environment for our people.”
The premier also indicated the end of the first phase of the project, which has offered valuable lessons. “We have learned many lessons from the first phase, and now we look forward to the second phase, aiming to enhance what we’ve accomplished with continued growth and ethical considerations.”
Abiy further announced during the event similar projects will be replicated in 11 other cities in a better way. “As we officially launch the new corridors today, it’s important to remember that their development and maintenance will continue beyond this milestone. Additionally, the current corridor leads will assist the mayors of eleven other cities across the country as we expand this necessary initiative.”
