The FDRE Defense War College hosted a workshop highlighting its achievements and challenges since its establishment in 2019. Brigadier General Bulti Tadesse, the Commander in Chief of the college, presented an overview of the college’s activities over the past five years.

In his presentation, Brig. Gen. Bulti emphasized the critical role of the Defense War College in empowering the strategic leadership of the FDRE Defense Forces. He noted, "The Defense War College is playing a crucial role in empowering the strategic leadership of the FDRE Defense Forces." He added that the college is also strengthening Ethiopia's diplomacy by training military leaders from neighboring countries.

According to Brig. Gen. Bulti, the War College provides education to security sector leaders in areas such as security studies, military leadership, joint operations, strategic thinking, and related fields. He disclosed that the college is also involved in conducting research on strategic security issues, providing short-term training, and organizing workshops and symposiums on these topics.

The workshop's guest of honor, Lieutenant General Desta Abchie of the Defense Engineering Command, praised the War College for its contributions to military professionalism and leadership. "The War College is one of the key institutions working on military professionalism and influential military leadership," said Lt. Gen. Desta. He underscored the college's importance in Ethiopia's quest to build modernized military institutions.
