The Southern Ethiopia Regional Government Council held its 12th regular meeting online, and passed on decisions after thorough consultation on one policy and two proclamations as well as on nine draft regulations. The Council discussed the proposed draft regulations, such as:
Roads Authority Establishment Regulation, Road Safety Council Establishment Regulation, Regulations issued to manage and establish Disaster Risk Management Fund, Establishment Regulation of the Nutrition Coordinating Office, and Tourism revenue collection regulations are also included.
The council discussed the proposed regulations and approved their amendments, believing that it will benefit the citizens by guiding the work in each sector within the framework of the law. According to the regional communication office, the government council then discussed in detail two draft decrees, namely the 'Wolaita Agricultural College Establishment Decree' and the 'Irrigation Water Users Association Establishment Decree' and the 'Volunteering Draft Policy'. It has been indicated that the regional Council has prepared the 2016 fiscal year work evaluation and project performance evaluation forum.
