The Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission (ENDC) revealed that it has already completed the process of identifying participants in ten regional states and two city administrations.
The commission further stated that it will shortly start gathering ideas for the agenda in those regions and city administrations.
Professor Mesfin Araya (Prof.), Chief Commissioner of the National Dialogue, stated that thus far the commission has been working on making the national dialogue participatory.
Since its establishment two years ago, the identification of the participants in ten regional states and the two municipal administrations has already been finalized, according to Commissioner Mesfin.
“Even though there were a few issues in the Somalia Regional State alone, those have already been resolved, work has begun there, and we expect to conclude the issues in no more than a week. We have completed the tasks in the ten regions and the two city administrations. We've decided on participant identification; people who participate will gather agendas that vary from one another. Such efforts will continue in a very fruitful manner, I would like to confirm,” he stated.
Along with praising the commission’s current actions and the broader initiatives to guarantee the inclusiveness of the national dialogue, the commissioner pledged to keep successfully laying the groundwork for a national consensus and preserving the integrity of the nation.
