Ethiopia Takes Part in the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum in Nantong, China

Ethiopia is taking part in the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum s being held in Nantong, China.

Ethiopian Federal Police Commissioner General Demelash Gebremichael, who is a member of the Board of Directors of the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum, is participating in the meeting that stretches between April 10 and 13, 2024.

It is expected that various decisions will be made by discussing the forum's annual performance report, the research process on the Global Security Index and the preparation of the forum's 2024 annual conference.

It has been pointed out that the cooperation forum is led by senior board directors from nine countries, including Ethiopia, and is carrying out various activities by coordinating the law enforcement institutions of the countries with a focus on global public safety.

Commissioner General Demelash visited various institutions in China alongside the board leadership meeting.

It was mentioned that they visited CF Motor, a motorcycle manufacturer in Guangzhou province; It was pointed out that the company expressed its interest in opening a branch in Ethiopia.

The Commissioner General also visited Chinjan Police College. It has been stated that they are thankful for the free education opportunity given by the college to the members of the Ethiopian Federal Police who are currently being trained at the college.

The Commissioner General underlined work is being done to establish an International Police Leadership Institute at the Ethiopian Police University.//
