Saudi Recommits to Address Issues Related to Ethiopian Migrants

Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia renewed commitments to beef up bilateral relations, says Ethiopian Embassy in Saudi Arabia.

Ethiopian ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Lencho Bati, met with the kingdom's Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Saud in Jeddah where the two spoke of issues of common interests.

The prince stressed the need   to address issues related to undocumented Ethiopian migrants stranded in detention centers in Saudi Arabia.

He expressed his country's commitment to alleviate Ethiopian migrants in his country, noting the historical relationship between the two nations and their respective peoples.

He also added that Saudi Arabia's will   extend employment opportunities for Ethiopians, also pledging to step up partnership of the two nations, such as in trade, education and regional cooperation.

Over the past few months, the relation between Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia appears to show a good progress.
