A delegation led by Addis Ababa Mayor Adanech Abiebie toured several popular sites in Sichuan, China.
During their tour of Sichuan, the delegation observed China’s advanced development through the practical implementation of integrating urban and rural areas and promoting coordinated regional development strategies.
In addition to witnessing efforts to create job opportunities by developing urban agriculture and distribute agricultural products, the delegation also gained experience to further enhance Ethiopia’s own development drive.
Moreover, the delegation toured counties that prioritized people’s livability, tourism, and environmental protection through greening and sanitation works.
Having concluded their visit to Chinese cities, Mayor Adanech Abiebie's delegation has returned to Addis Ababa, according to information received from the mayor’s office.
The visit enabled an exchange of best practices and experience between Ethiopian and Chinese officials. It also strengthened ties and understanding between the two countries.
