Breaking Fast Together: From Palace Iftar to Street Celebrations in Addis Ababa

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has hosted 200 refugees at the National Palace for a special Ramadan Iftar, continuing his tradition of inclusivity.

This special Iftar offered the guests a unique opportunity to experience the historical landmark, alongside the shared experience of breaking their fast.

Simultaneously, the vibrant spirit of Ramadan was evident in the streets of Addis Ababa, where the annual grand street Iftar drew a large gathering of Ethiopian Muslims. This communal meal, a hallmark of the holy month, served as a powerful symbol of solidarity and harmony.

Addressing the assembled faithful, Shekh Ibrahim Tufa, President of the Ethiopian Islamic Supreme Council, highlighted Ramadan's significance in strengthening cooperation and national unity.

He emphasized that these gatherings, both at the National Palace and in the public square, represent a powerful testament to the unity and tranquility within the Muslim community, and by extension, the entire nation.

These events showcased the strength derived from collective participation, reinforcing the message of peace and shared values during this sacred time.
