Ethiopia Backs Zimbabwe’s Initiative to Build African Independence Museum

Ethiopia and Zimbabwe discussed the latter’s initiative to establish a museum of African independence struggles received a great deal of attention during the discussion.

Foreign Affairs State Minister Amb. Meseganu Arga, discussed yesterday with a high-level delegation from Zimbabwe who were led by Amb. Kwame Muzawazi and accompanied by Sophia Nyamudeza, Ambassador of Zimbabwe to Ethiopia.

Zimbabwe's President, President Mnangagwa, is spearheading the initiative and his government is funding the African Independence Museum's construction.

During their discussion, Ambassador Mesganu Arga reaffirmed Ethiopia's commitment to providing support for the initiative.

The museum will have sections to commemorate African nations' struggles and accomplishments, including the historic victory at Adwa.
